Three test down in my CNA class. I joked on face book that I will 100% on these days. Why? because on all three test I have gotten 96%. Well all three test results are A's. I did a couple of bone headed things.

On are very first test I read the question. Then only read two of the four answers. When I read the second one I was like that is it and stopped reading. The correct answer on the test was d all of the above. Dam-it any way. The second thing I did was on the last test. I read a question wrong there for giving the wrong answer. I don't feel to bad about that one everyone seemed to do it on that question.

How it's been going.

I have not been able to post because I have been busy with school and other things. I will post as much as I can and it will be more then I have been.

School has been going very well. We are only about a week in to class yet we have already taken two test. I scored 96% on both of them. I am very impressed with the instructor. She does an awsome job of making sure people understand what is going on. She wants every one to well. I have had instructors that seem to careless about you.

Today's class will be interesting because it is the first one off a weekend and I am curious to see how I react to that. It was always hard for me to get back in to school mood after a weekend well I went to collage the first time.

My first day.

My first day went well. The instructor seems real nice and willing to help students. We joked a bit and got right in to the work ahead.

We went threw unit one in our book and have a test on it on Thursday. That is how the class will work. Tuesday nights we move threw a unit and then test on that unit on Thursday night.

Well I normally scared for test I sure am not for this one. This should be an easy one. I have always been one of those people that can know the info right up to test time then I freak out and blank out. I don't know why I always get so scared for test. Maybe I am finally getting over that.

The class is suppose to have 20 people there were 17 of us in class last night. There were four guys the rest were girls. I was surprised to see a few more older people then I thought in the class. There were three of us in our 3o's and two over there 30's.

We were all there for different reason's. One guy I felt bad for. He had been working for Jamar for a number of years and was laid off. He did not seem down about it however. He had a great attitude to pick him self up and move on. There was another guy who was in the military and was called to active duty and his license expired. He was just going to get back in to it.

Reason's people may go back to school.

This is just kind of for fun. I hope it also helps some people make a decision to go to school if they are thinking about it.

There was an article about the number of people laid off and the number of jobs available. The number of laid off people was much higher then the jobs available. However those jobs that were available were better suited for those that had an education.

Laid off ( much to do with the one above).

Feel better about your self.

Yes going back to school can make you feel better about your self. At least a number of blogs I have read have said this.

Add to the list why did you or why are you thinking of going back to school. Tell your story about what one or more reason you are going back as well. I will post mine shortly. Still working on the blog however and want to get a few things up that I hope help people.

In other blogs. (students).

I have been reading some other blogs of older people returning to collage. It seems that there is a lot of concern about the kids (students) in there teens and 20's and how they treat the older students.

One thing is I don't care I will go to class be active in the school when I can be. I don't care what others think as far as me being an older student. We all are there for one reason or another. Well those just out of high school are there for the first time and perusing what they want to do for a career. They must understand that others go for a number or different reason's.

Lets face it well the "kids" will do there thing. I don't think there will be any problems. Most people understand life's journey. People go to school at all ages.

First day of school.

Today will be my first day of school (LSC). In more then 10 years. I will be going for the CNA program.

The program is relatively short. I am excited about this chapter in my life. I think it will be a good thing. I will let you all know how my first day went when I return it will be a long day. I will be at school from 2-9 pm. I may even be able to get some updates in well at the school.

Class does not start until 4pm but I have to get a few things done at the school before I go to class.

Hello and welcome to my new site. Back to School and in my 30's. This site is intended for anyone interested in going back to or is already back in collage at 30 years of age or older.

I am going back to collage for the first time in more then 10 years. Well I am a bit nervous I am also excited about the new opportunity's it will bring.

I will be going to Lake Superior Collage in Duluth, MN. The program is a non-degree program (CNA) . I went to the same collage a number of years ago for a broadcasting degree. I enjoyed the collage then. I think going back to the same collage makes it a bit easier for me. However the school has changed a bit as I had to go today and get something straightened out.


For those you who have gone back to collage and are in your 30's or more I am wondering what your feelings were before you started.
